Please let your definition of "Middle Eastern" expand when you visit Al Mahala. Class topics this and previous years have included the Silk Road, far Eastern Europe, North Africa, Ottoman, Persian, Arabic, Moorish and of course, Berber and Indian.
Although the class schedule is filling up, there are still some open spots available. For those not interested in running a class alone, round-tables and panel discussions are also welcome.

Al Mahala is also a residence, within a very short walk of Merchants Row and even closer to the Battlefield. Please contact Mistress Edwina with any camping inquiries, sue@readitagainbooks.net At this time, M.E. persona is not required to camp with Al Mahala, but is always encouraged!
The highlight of the week is our Wednesday Night Expo, featuring both musical performances and Dance presentations. There is no admission for this exciting event, although participants are asked to refrain from electrical amplification. Dancers requiring recorded music for the Expo are asked to veil their boombox and to stick to period-friendly musical selections.
